Context: STONE Studio provides ongoing creative support for Inmarsat Maritime’s high-speed crew internet access FleetHotspot. Promotional campaign assets used globally to communicate with seafarers and maritime stakeholders across key occasions throughout the year.
Objective: To promote across various channels and communication formats the power of Fleet Hotspot to connect seafarers at sea with their families and friends worldwide. The task was to include a wide range of cultural events such as public holidays to keep the campaign relevant throughout the year and to bring focus to Inmarsat’s offers and discounts.
Approach: We produce impactful celebratory and joyous visuals through photography and graphics that resonate with seafarers and decision makers alike. A range of promotional assets – including digital advertisements, social graphics, HTML e-blast visuals and onboard promotional materials – land both on an emotional level to promote the benefits of keeping people connected across oceans as well as incentivise using discounts to increase sign up and build loyalty to the service.
Result: The tone of the visuals helps remind crews of the power of the service and the benefits of being together, even when miles apart, especially at times of national and cultural celebration – this creates a positive attitude towards Inmarsat. Through repetition and recognisable themes campaigns have improved recognition, sign up and brand allegiance. Assets align with the wider brand system while keeping each campaign clear, focused and appropriate for a global maritime audience.
